For a long time, I travelled in search of the best light. These days, I travel in search of the people who live where that light falls.
My recent work is about encounters: a Welsh barman under a plane tree on Kefalonia, the people behind a place, and the trust that slowly turns a stranger into a portrait. Landscapes still matter – but as the setting for a story, not the story itself.
Next, I am travelling to New Zealand and the Swiss Alps to meet the people who live alongside vanishing glaciers.
